It's Soapy & Glorious..

Soap & Glory are by far one of the most popular beauty brands right now. With their quirky packaging, names and super-yummy scents, whats not to love?! Whether you fancy smelling like a zesty lemon pie or a human bubble gum, you'll end up filling your bathroom cabinets with the stuff!

I've decided to review a few of my all time favorite products from Soap & Glory, as you can't be missing out on these wonderful treats for your skin and hair! There are honestly hundreds of products now available at +Boots UK+Superdrug  and other leading health and beauty stores, so you can thank me later when you've stocked up!

Scrub Of Your Life
One of the best body scrubs you'll find right now. The thick scrub glides onto your skin and gently exfoliates the skin in minutes. The scrub creates a foamy like texture against the skin. I love that after you've rinsed the product off, you are still left with a super soft coating to your skin which then also acts as a moisturizer. Could you seriously ask for more? No lie, this is my fave body scrub I've ever bought and I can't live without it!
10/10!!

Glad Hair Day
A glorious shampoo that leaves you feeling fresh as a daisy! The Ultra-Shine Shampoo is perfect for all hair types with a fruity fragrance! Rated five star by leading beauty mags, it's no joke that this everyday shampoo is worth every penny! One great thing about this shampoo is if your hair is a little greasy, you can re-apply without having to worry about stripping your hair of its natural oils or going dry. Just massage a small amount onto the hands. A little goes a long way!
7/10!

Clean On Me
Creamy moisture shower gel that hydrates the skin with every use. A great option if you are like me and go mad with shower gel until your whole body is just a giant bubble. Add a handful of Clean On Me onto damp skin and watch it turn into a thick, luxurious lather in seconds. The smell stays on your skin once your dry and a little travel bottle is great to take on holiday!
8/10!

Hand Food
Hand Food is by far one of the best hand lotions I've ever used. I even have a little travel size one that's great to pop in your handbag whilst you're on-the-go! The floral and soapy smell makes your hands feel instantly refreshed and leaves your skin super-soft and supple. Perfect if you job involves hands-on tasks or computer work.
8/10!

The Righteous Butter
Mmmmmmm! So good I could eat it! (But please don't!). The Righteous butter is a flippin' savior if you are prone to dry skin! I smother myself in this once I've had a bath or a shower. The butter can be applied on damp skin or dry skin, so take your pick! I wake up the next morning and my skin feels revitalized and brand new. I recommend using this straight after you've had a bath or shower for the best results. It won't disappoint!
9/10!

Orangeasm Body Wash
The scent this gives off is just Orgasmic. I'm guessing that's what made them name this body wash Orangeasm. Literally, I can't explain how fruit and tropical this product is. I smother myself in this when I'm in the shower and even bought a separate bottle to keep at my boyfriends. Yes, it's that amazing! I recommend this body wash being put at the top of your to-buy lists when you next need essentials for the bathroom! The formula is a mixture of Ginseng, Pink Pepper-berry, Green Mandarin, Sicilian Lemon and Orange peel oils..about as Zesty as it gets!
10/10!!

I don't know about you, but I'm a sucker for Lush Cosmetics. Literally any given chance, I'll be scooting into a Lush store and checking out new bath bombs, bath oils and hair products. I love the quirky designs, use of pigments and how beautiful a bath looks after dropping a fresh new bath bomb in the tub!

Matte Me...

Okay, so as you already know, Sleek Make Up is becoming ever more popular in the UK and are busier than ever when it comes to bringing us the latest and greatest. With a wide variety of different products being available online and in stores, Sleek is taking the make up world by storm.

One of my favorite products from the Sleek range is the Sleek 'Matte Me Lip Cream'
All I can say is.... I have four shades already!  The high quality lip brush glides the product on smoothly over the lips like silk and it then dries to a gorgeous matte effect that lasts for hours.

My all time favorite shade is Birthday Suit. A gorgeous nude colour with a hint of pink. One thing I love about these lip creams is the fact they are so pigmented. Many lip creams these days fade so quickly, but these babies stay on for hours, even if you're eating and drinking.

Birthday Suit:
A beautiful nude with a hint of pink.

Petal:
A gorgeous, feminine pastel pink.

In The Spotlight: Mariel Clayton

If you haven't heard of her, you're about to. Mariel Clayton is one of the latest photographers to create unusual and conceptual pieces of art using a mixture of Barbie Dolls and Japanese minatures. Her work is forever unique and gives off vivid and sometimes morbid vibes, but thats why we love her! Her witty and dark scene set-ups can leave so much to the imagination which makes it even more engaging for all audiences.
Below are some of my favourite pieces from the artist herself. Remember to visit her online store, instagram and social media for more information and the latest updates.

1) Barbie Behaving Badly
This image explores human sexuality and makes you paint a story in your mind of what some couples can get up to behind closed doors. I love how cheeky and unexpected the scene is, as you can see Barbie has dropped her carton of eggs in an unexpected turn of events as she is baking. I love how Mariel has also portrayed Barbie to be 'in the zone' as she is placed smoking a cigarette whilst enjoying the moment! Imagine how tiny that miniture cigarette is...

2) Gameplay
I love the concept of this piece. Where the common gender roles have been cleverly switched over. This explores the many ideas men imagine as an ideal fantasy, but then they are turn around in an unusual manner. We would normally expect the male to be sitting in a gamer chair playing their Xbox game whilst their girlfriend kept them 'happy'. The detail in each image is insane, as you can spot mini bottles of Jack Daniels, iPads, iPhones and music speakers.

3) The Serial Killer
Mariel is amazing at creating images with a morbid twist, as the popular Barbie we know and love is turned into a serial killer in this piece. Barbie is pictured clearing up her rather 'bloody' mess after beheading Ken in her kitchen. Look closely and you will spot Kens hand is boiling away in a pan and his head is placed slap bang in the middle of her fridge. Her puppy is sitting directly behind his dog bowl which has been used to catch the rest of Kens blood. Ewwww!

4) Hot Sauce
Well Ken certainly isn't expecting this! Shot with a dark and moody lighting, Barbie is pictured undressed whilst holding a miniture pot of hot sauce behind her back. The rest of the story is up to your imagination...

5) Love
Slightly less morbid that the previous images, Mariels take on love touches the heart. This simple image includes Barbie and Ken embracing eachother after Barbie receives Tiffany & Co jewellery with wine and chocolates. (Just check out how cute that iconinc Tiffany box is!). The vignetting around the image makes it warm and emotional.

All in all Mariels work is undeniably creative and something you don't see every day in the world of art.
